Call for proposals – ABD Grant Scheme within LEIWW programme


Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-East Europe in cooperation with GIZ within the project ”Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management” (LEIWW), officially closed the Call for proposals on July 6th 2016 at 16:00 C.E.T.


This Grant Scheme is also supported and facilitated by the European Union funded project “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration” implemented by the SWG

Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-East Europe in cooperation with GIZ within the project ”Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management” (LEIWW), will open the Call for proposals with main objectives:

  • to improve green value chains in agriculture and food production or handcrafts with respect to responsible use of natural resources and renewable energy sources;
  • to improve integrated tourism offer of the Cross-Border regions through support to entrepreneur initiatives focusing on responsible use of natural resources and renewable energy sources;
  • to improve regional competitiveness through support and creation of green value chains with local and Cross-Border partnerships;
  • to support economic activities, income generation, entrepreneurship of women’s and young’s;
  • to support to development of rural areas through sustainable use of natural resources by improvements of integral water and forest resource management.

The grant will be available for private, civil and public entities from following countries and municipalities of the Cross-Border regions:

Cross-Border region of “Drina-Tara”:
Serbia: Ljubovija, Bajina Bašta, Prijepolje, Priboj, Čajetina and Užice;
Montenegro: Bijelo Polje and Pljevlja;
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Višegrad, Rudo, Goražde, Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milići;

Cross-Border region of “Drina-Sava”:
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bijeljina, Ugljevik, Lopare, Brčko and Donji Žabari;
Serbia: Sremska Mitrovica, Šid, Bogatić, Loznica and Šabac;

Cross-Border region of “Prespa”:
Macedonia: Ohrid and Resen;
Albania: Pogradec, Pustec, Maliq, Korca, Devoll and Kolonje;

Cross-Border region of “Sharra”:
Albania: Kukes;
Macedonia: Jegunovce and Tearce;
Kosovo*: Dragash, Prizren and Shtrpce;
