Ad Hoc Meeting of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group on Water and Forest Management in South-East Europe, 23 – 25 June 2014, Belgrade, Serbia

Due to the recent unfortunate events caused by heavy rains in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia, resulting with severe floods on over 22.900 km2, the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South Eastern Europe is in a fervent state of taking immediate actions in respect to the current situation.

As an organization which, among other activities, is supporting and facilitating actions related to water and forest management in the SEE region, the SWG initiated the urgent need for organizing a meeting of the regional expert advisory working group on water and forest management.

The Ad Hoc meeting of the members of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group on Water and Forest Management will take part in Belgrade, Serbia in the period from June 23rd – 25th, 2014.

The meeting will focus on issues related to the on flood protection and flood management in SEE, addressing the needs of the affected regions and providing flood management solutions and measures for the future.
