The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe, within the SWG EC project “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration”, will support the organization of the manifestation “Divan je kićeni Srijem” which will be organized by the Tourist board of the Municipality of Nijemci in the period of 17.06- 19.06.2016.
The manifestation “Divan je kićeni Srijem” will be traditionally held for the twentieth time, organized by the Municipality of Nijemci and the Tourist board of the Municipality. The manifestation objective is to promote the natural and cultural heritage of the region, as well to promote domestic products. During the three-day manifestation several events will be organized such as:
- ”Sijelo puckih pisaca” – which promotes the cultural heritage;
- ”Tamburasi u Srijemu” – promotes the traditional music of the region and provides opportunity for promotion of different NGOs working in the field of preservation of culture and tradition. Additional to that, different children’s and adult folklore groups will have the opportunity to present themselves.
- Tourism Fair – which will gather exhibitors from cities and municipalities of the cross-border region “Drina-Sava”, who will present their rural tourism offer and wide assortment of domestic products, such as, traditional food, wine, brandy, traditional home-made cheese, honey and honey products, traditionally prepared winter store products, herbs, natural creams and ointments, as well as handmade unique regional souvenirs.
The Fair will be also used for presentation of beneficiaries from the ABD Grant Scheme, the beekeeping association ”Udruga Pcelara Opstine Nijemci”, who will use the Fair to present their achievements and made investments under the ABD Grant Scheme, and for selling their honey products.
