The technical discussion will be held in the period 9th – 12th November, 2010 in Andrevlje, Serbia. The arrival of the participants is foreseen for 9th of November and the departure is on 12th of November, 2010.

The target group for the technical discussion are representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – Departments of Forestry, representatives from the public enterprises – forestry sector and representatives from the academic institutions.

This technical discussion will aim at addressing the needs and concerns in the context of forestry and sustainable forest management (SFM) in protective forests across the SEE countries. It will identify common challenges for achieving sustainable forest management faced by the candidate and potential candidate SEE countries, particularly in the process of EU integration, where sustainable practices and proper implementation of new legislations are prerequisite.

Based on many similarities and common issues in forestry in the SEE countries a specific attention is given to the regional networking and cooperation through linking different forestry actors in exchange of experiences, learning and joint development.
