The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, in cooperation with the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) within the SWG GTZ ORF Project: “Improving the competitiveness of companies and organizations from SEE in the agricultural and food sector through the implementation of food quality standards and increased regional networking” and the AgBiz Programme will organize a Conference: “IMPLEMENTATION OF CEFTA – FREE MOVEMENT AND BARRIERS ON TRADE OF AGRICULTURAL GOODS” and multilateral business – to- business meetings between exporters and importers from Macedonia and countries from the SEE region. The events will be organized on November 9th, 2010 as part of the International fair exhibition ITF AGROFOOD 2010 in Skopje, Macedonia.
The aim of the conference is to receive an up to date and discuss the CEFTA Agreement and realization of the provisions of the Agreement, particularly related to the agriculture and food sector with special focus on realization of the provisions of the Agreement up to now, obstacles and opportunities for the trade in agriculture and food sector between the countries in the region of South-Eastern Europe.
A multilateral business meeting between the companies operating in the agro and food sector from South-Eastern Europe is foreseen within the Conference. The event will be an opportunity for the companies from participating countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Kosovo (UNSCR 1244) to establish and strengthen the business relations and increase the trade.
