International Green Week and Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), 14 – 16 January, 2016, Berlin, Germany

Officially nominated delegates from SWG member country/institution will participate at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 2016 in Berlin, Germany. GFFA is an international conference that focuses on central questions concerning the future of the global agri-food industry. It gives representatives from the worlds of politics, business, science and civil society an opportunity to share ideas and enhance understanding on the current topic on agricultural policy. The GFFA will be held during International Green Week (IGW) and will be taking place in its current shape for the eight time.

The main focus of the 2016 Global Forum for Food and Agriculture is on “How to feed our cities? – Agriculture and rural areas in an era of urbanization”? The aim of GFFA is, in a series of expert panel discussions, working meetings and an international panel, to identify ways and means of sustainably meeting the diverse and growing demands that are being made of the agricultural sector.
