Within European Commission funded project “Preparation for implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase”, Association of Beekeepers “Visegrad” and “Drina – Tara” PMU will organize the International Honey and Bee Products Fair – “From the nature to the health” which will be held on 10th September 2014 at Visegrad, Bosnia & Herzeogovina.
The aim of this regional event is to promote beekeeping and bee products as prosperous economic activity, as well as to facilitate the process of generating income. This event also has a humanitarian character because each exhibitor will donate 1 kg of honey to children with physical disadvantages.
Nine years in row the Honey and Bee Products Fair in Visegrad attracts beekeepers from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republic of Srpska and the Federation), Serbia and Montenegro, to exhibit and sell their products in Visegrad. Also, during the event, the beekeepers from all three countries in “Drina – Tara” region will have opportunity to share practical experiences, discuss joint cooperation and to learn about new developments in the sector. This year it is expected about 30 – 40 exhibitors from Prijepolje, Priboj, Pljevlja, Cajniče, Foča, Rogatica, Sokolac, Arilje, Kosjerić, Rudo, Užice, Požega, Goražde, Palanka and Šid, and between 600 – 1000 visitors from Višegrad and neighbouring municipalities.
