With the support of European Union the regional event: International tourism eco-ethno fair “Sounds, test and smells of tradition” will be organized in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia. The International tourist eco-ethno fair “Sounds, test and smells of tradition” will be organized in Bijeljina, Bosna and Herzegovina and in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia.
The Fair will gather exhibitors from cities and municipalities of the cross-border region “Drina-Sava”, who will present their rural tourism offer and wide assortment of domestic products, such as traditional food, wine, brandy, traditional home-made cheese, honey and honey products, traditionally prepared winter store products, herbs, natural creams and ointments, as well as handmade unique regional souvenirs.
Round tables in both cities will be organized as parallel events to the Fairs. The round tables will focus on increasing tourist turnover in the region, where Fair exhibitors, representatives of local governments and local tourist organizations will have the opportunity to discus and exchange experiences. At the same time, local touristic agencies will present their offers, capacities, attractive and interesting sites around the region and specific offer of the communities they come from.
This event will be held on 13-14 February in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia and 25-26 February In Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and is supported by the EU funded project “Preparation for implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase” implemented by SWG.
