Officially nominated delegates from each SWG member country/institution will participate at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) – an international conference that focuses on central questions concerning the future of the global agro-food industry and is traditionally being held for 5 years during the International Green Week (IGW) Fair in Berlin.

The main focus of the 6th GFFA which will be organized from 16th to 18th of January 2014 is on “Empowering Agriculture – Foster Resilience – Securing Food and Nutrition”.

Within the frames of this International Conference, the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South Eastern Europe and the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations are jointly organizing a Regional panel entitled: “Agriculture as key driver for social and economic development in South Eastern Europe”. The Regional panel will take place on January 16th 2014 from 15:30h – 17:30h, in Hall 8, ICC Berlin.
