The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-East Europe is organizing a study tour on: “Best practices for regional rural development, regional cooperation and area based development”. The study tour is intended for representatives of the Stakeholders Groups from “Drina – Tara”, “Drina – Sava”, “Prespa” and “Sharra”  cross-border regions and will be realized in the period from November 24th to December 1st, 2012 in the region of Bavaria, Germany.

The aim of the study tour is participants to acquire information about the best practices for regional rural development, regional cooperation in EU member states (Germany), as well as to establish closer cooperation and exchange their experiences and views related to implementation of Area Based Development Approach (ABDA) in the Western Balkan countries.

Through this study tour, the representatives from the ABDA cross border regions of “Drina – Tara”, “Drina – Sava”, “Prespa” and “Sharra” from the Western Balkan countries will have an opportunity to observe and become familiar with the best practices for implementation of policies for rural development and regional cooperation in EU member countries.
