Terra Madre Macedonia is an event based on the concept of the biennial international and regional events Terra Madre Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre Balkan. Two enormous events dedicated to food and gastronomy composed of diverse elements, few of which: a fair, with exhibitors from different countries/continents, Taste Workshops (the original format was created over 20 years ago by Slow Food), Enoteca and conferences. Macedonian Slow Food delegation has participated at these events since 2010. Terra Madre Macedonia will be organized for the first time in BItola from 24-26 of June 2016. The main goal of the event is to gather all the important entities in the agriculture and food sector in order to go through the old flavors and the education of the consumers which can guarantee the survival of many varieties, breeds, products and processing methods needed for the sustainable development of rural areas.
This three-day event will offer a very diverse program consisted of: two conferences, fair, degustation, adult courses and education of children, school vegetable garden, live cooking with most famous chefs from Macedonia, exibitions, Slow Food bar for presentations and hangouts, youth camp, cinema, and a lot of fun.
