Within European Commission funded project “Preparation for implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase”, Mountaineering club “Ljuboten” and “Sharra” PMU will organize the ”Traditional climbing on peak Ljuboten” that will be held on 11 and 12 October 2014 in Macedonia.
This event will contribute to increased cooperation among the businesses and organisations from the two sides of the borders, who work on the promotion and service providing in rural and mountain climbing tourism. Mountain climbing and rural tourism are important segment of development of “Sharra” region, and eventually will boost the economic development on local and regional level.
This event besides promoting the natural beauties and touristic opportunities of “Sharra” region will increase the cooperation between Mountaineering club “Ljuboten” and Mountaineering club “Uspon” by signing an Memorandum for cooperation by which the tours and services from the both sides of the border (Macedonia and Kosovo*) will be connected as one, and offered as multiday touristic products to tourist around the world.
