Outcome from the Workshop on Monitoring the SEE2020 Strategy held at the OECD headquarters in Paris“, 10th March 2014, Paris, France


Ms. Katerina Spasovska, Senior Project Manager at the SWG Head Office/Secretariat participated at the WS on Monitoring the SEE2020 Strategy held at the OECD headquarters in Paris on March 10th 2014.

Representatives of regional organisations and initiatives, delegations to the OECD, OECD experts and analysts from the OECD Investment Compact for South East Europe discussed both the design and the relevance of the draft indicators for measuring the implementation of SEE2020.

Within subject-specific working groups, the participants gave their comments to the draft SEE2020 quantitative indicator assessment frameworks for the Environment Dimension which is structured around four sub-dimensions: Capacity for climate change adaption, environmental protection, sustainable management of natural resources and international and trans-boundary cooperation.

As a follow up to the Workshop, the participants got a task to complete the assessment frameworks for each monitored economy, based on desk research and consultation with relevant government institutions.

The regional organization responsible for data collection is the Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Easter Europe (REC), while the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group in South Easter Europe (SWG) supports REC for agriculture and land related indicators.
