Aiming to provide a platform for exchange of experiences and good practices in preparation of relevant legislation, definition of criteria, methodology and parameters for determination and classification of less favoured areas, the multi country Workshop on: “Less Favoured Areas (LFA) – criteria, determination, current policy” was focused on related EU legislation, documents, criteria, methodology and parameters for determination and classification of less favoured areas.

The Workshop which took place in Tirana, Albania was organized by the technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX) and SWG Head Office/Secretariat.

The following topics were presented to the participants (relevant representatives of the SWG Member institutions) by experts – representatives of EU Member Countries:
