Grant Schemes

The ABD Grant schemes are designed to support small projects in the cross-border regions related to income generation by improvement of production process, technology and quality of products and services in various value chains (tourism, agriculture, etc.). It supports partnerships of a cross-border character but also individual projects/businesses who have potential of expanding and engaging into cross-border partnership in the near future. The focus is on a sustainable business projects and partnerships who are in line with the local development strategies and considering important economic initiatives.

The Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG) in SEE organized the official Contract signing ceremony for ABD Grant scheme beneficiaries from the cross-border regions of “Drina-Tara” and “Drina-Sava” on 9th November 2016 on Zlatibor, Serbia. The contracts for the grants have been signed by 25 beneficiaries.

The SWG Head Office/Secretariat on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group has launched the Call for proposals for the “ABD Grant Scheme”, as part of the activity within the project: “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management” (LEIWW) implemented in by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe and German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development Cooperation (BMZ).

ABDA Info Days were organized in two municipalities from the cross-border region "Drina-Sava". In total 15 participants in Brcko and 27 in Sabac (potential beneficiaries and media representatives) were informed in details about the application procedure for the on-going Open call for Project Proposals.

The SWG Head Office/Secretariat on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group has launched the Call for proposals “ABD Grant Scheme”, as a part of the activity within the project “Rural development through integrated forest and water resources management” (LEIWW) SWG and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development Cooperation (BMZ). This Grant Scheme is also supported and facilitated by the European Union funded project “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration” implemented by SWG.

CALL CLOSED FOR – ABD grant scheme – 2nd Call for proposals

The SWG Head Office/Secretariat on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group is opening the second Call for proposals under the “ABD grant scheme”, as a part of the activity “Enhancing competitiveness with small grants for renewal of production facilities and purchase of equipment for introducing new production processes to improve or innovate products” within the project financed by the European Commission “Preparation for Implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase” (contract number 2013-336-472).
