Constructed playground and solved the problem with the stable power supply in the Tourist complex N’MAL in the village Reka e Aliages, Rugova valley, Kosovo*


Tourist complex N’MAL is located in the Cross-border region Prokletije- Bjeshet e Nemuna, in the village Reka e Aliages, in Rugova valley, Kosovo*. In the last 10 years the family Nikqi from Peja, work hard to enable the creation of attractive touristic facility, to maintain with proper infrastructure but insist on preserving the environment.

The location is attractive for local and international tourists from the region and from the whole world. The number of tourist visits is increasing, however Covid 19 pandemic just temporarily slows down this trend. The accommodation facilities covers around 300 m2 and are built in modern way combining traditional mountain design. The number of existing villas is 5: Shqiponja with 100 m2; Villa Ariu with 50m2; Villa Drenusha with 50 m2; Villa Ujku with 50m2 and Villa Ketri with 50m2.

With the grant investment this tourism complex solved the problem with the stable power supply. Now, with sustainable power supply the quality of services is increased. Constructed playground for the children enriched the offer of this accommodation and will attract more young families with small children.

Project activities will contribute to the development of the mountain tourism value chain in the Rugova valley and in the cross-border region “Prokletije -Bjeshket e Namuna“. Now with additional offer and extend season for accommodation more tourists will visit this facility. This tourism provider is regularly promoting their activities on the social networks and media which will eventually as the result lead to more future visits, new employment and further development of the region.
