ABD GRANT SCHEME – OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE BEEKEEPING VALUE CHAIN

The Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG) in South Eastern Europe in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) within the project ”Support to economic diversification of rural areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA)” is opening the call for proposals within ABD Grant Scheme for the cross-border region “Pchinja-Krajishte“.

The general objective of the ABD Grant scheme within the SEDRA project is to contribute to the diversification of economic activities in rural areas of SEE, through strengthening of the selected value chains in the specific cross-border regions. In order to achieve the objectives of Beekeeping Value Chain development in the Pchinja – Krajishte cross-border region it is envisaged to provide financial support for beekeepers’ associations and beekeepers for establishing, extending and diversifying beekeeping production and improving safety and quality standards in beekeeping sector and of the bee products.

The grant will be available in the following countries and municipalities of the cross-border region “Pchinja-Krajishte“:
Cross-Border region of “Pchinja Krajishte” (countries and municipalities):
Serbia: Bujanovac, Trgoviste, Crna Trava, Surdulica, Bosilegrad;
North Macedonia:  Staro Nagorchane, Rankovce and Kriva Palanka;

The municipality of Kuystendil in Bulgaria is not eligible for this grant call due to the fact that Bulgaria is member of EU. However, eligible entities from Kuystendil, Bulgaria can participate in the proposed projects/investments as partners with their own financial resources.
