A wide and rich range of honey products, juices, jams, cheese, herbs, handicraft products, pottery where present at the stands of numerous exhibitors from Bijelo Polje, Niksic, Mojkovac, Prijepolje, Priboj, Uzice, Visegrad at the bazaar organized in Bijelo Polje in a period 27 till 28 September.
Opening the fair, Deputy Mayor Nermin Becirovic stated that the presence of many exhibitors from the region is a confirmation that organizing such an event makes sense. “Our Bjelovar Bazaar has not only significance for the exhibitors who presented themselves with the rich products offer, but also for all citizens of Bijelo Polje. Becirovic also congratulated in advance nominated who would gained prizes for the best products offer according to the organizers.
Violeta Obradovic, Director of the Local Tourism Organization, said that the event was designed to promote culture and tradition of Bijelo Polje and region, and that the focus is promotion of rich tourist offer of hoteliers, caterers, local crafts and all that is connected with tourism. “I would like to express my gratitude to our partners of this year event, which is the Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development in Southeast Europe (SWG) in partnership with the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Slavica Kovacevic from Mojkovac exhibited products made from forest fruits: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, chokeberry as well as handmade knitted hats and socks, and souvenirs made of wood.
Mersida Idrizović from Bjelo Polje presented home-made paper pate from roasted peppers, aubergine pate, homemade pickles, juices and jams.
Mileta Dacevic, from Niksic presented its products for the third time at the Bjelopolj Bazaar and he is pleased to say that various kinds of cheese he is offering are well-known all-over Montenegro. “I produce fifteen types of cow’s milk cheese, and my young and old varieties of cheese are widely known, as well as smoked enriched with the spices. My products are specific, so they are unique in this area and I have no problem with placement stated Dacevic.
The organizers of the event provided numerous awards for the best exhibitors of the bazaar. The event was accompanied with rich cultural program.
