Representatives of the SWG regional experts advisory working groups will present findings of the studies produced within the projects: “Agricultural Policy Developments and EU Approximation Process in the Western Balkans Countries (APDAP-WB)” and “Land Market Development and Small Farms’ Access to Land in the Pre-accession Countries (LMSF-AC)”. The meeting will take place at the DG AGRI premises and the audience will be comprised of representatives from the European Commission (DG AGRI and DG NEAR).
In the past year, under the scientific guidance of the University of Ljubljana and Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, the expert groups have been working to achieve the main objectives:
- To collect information on agricultural policy developments in the Western Balkan (WB) countries and to conduct comparative cross-country analysis of the agricultural policies and their state of harmonisation with the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)
- To strengthen the understanding of the functioning of land markets in the WBs and small farm households’ access to land.
