The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe with local stakeholders from the “Drina-Sava” stakeholder group, in a two day period organized several educational and cleaning action under the implementation of pilot measures named “Green Actions, Earth Day Every Day!” for integrated solid waste management in a cross-border context.
On the occasion of the International day of climate students from High School Gimnazija “Vaso Pelagic” organized an educational session in cooperation with local stakeholder “Javno komunalno preduzece Brcko”. After the session, elementary school students had the opportunity to visit the Factory of water in order to educate students from an early age that the conscientious attitude to the environment preserve the natural resources of the planet earth.
Municipalities of Ugljevik, Lopare and Bogatic, and public utility company “Nas dom” from Loznica, in cooperation with the schools, organized several cleaning actions.
The event is supported within the project “Solid Waste Management in cross-border rural and coastal areas of South Eastern European region”, implemented on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) and NALAS, in support of GIZ Open Regional Fund for South East Europe – Modernization of Municipal Services (ORF MMS).
