The Standing Working Group (SWG) participated on the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture with the subject “Agriculture and Climate Change – New Concept Proposals from Policymakers and Industry” in the period of January 14th -17th 2010 in Berlin.
As part of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture a Cooperation Market took place on January 16, 2010 at the International Green Week in Berlin. At the market institutions, universities, companies and agencies of the agricultural and food science and business were presented. The Standing Working Group was also one of the exhibitiors.
Parallel to the Cooperation Market the International Agriculture Ministers’ Panel Discussion and the Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Summit are held. Agriculture ministers from across the world were invited to these events in order to discuss experiences and concepts related to dealing with climate change, climate protection and the adaptation strategies pursued by their respective countries.
The SWG delegation also visited the International Green Week Fair, an international exhibition for the food, agricultural, and horticultural industries. At the IGW the SWG visited the stands of the South Eastern European countries, members of the SWG, which were exhibiting and promoting their products and countries on this international fair.
