The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe in cooperation with the German International Cooperation (GIZ) will support the organization of the regional event – International fruit brandy festival “Zestival”, which will be organized by the City of Uzice and will be held at the central city square in the period from 18-19 August, 2017 in Uzice, Serbia.
The aim of this regional event – “Zestival“ is exchange of experiences in brandy production between producers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, presentation and tasting of domestic, traditionally produced brandies, as well as presentation of other traditional products like honey, dried fruits, jams and souvenirs. The main goal of this event is affirmation and improvement of the production and marketing of fruit brandies and tourist potentials of the Uzice area, cross-border region “Drina-Tara” and other SWG ABD regions.
The regional event International fruit brandy festival “Zestival“ will contribute to networking of agricultural producers and presentation of the traditional alcoholic beverage from the Western Balkan cuisine.
“Zestival” provides an excellent opportunity for meetings between producers and experts in the field of alcoholic drinks production, who can provide advisory services in terms of production technology, marketing and branding and placemen of products on new markets. Additionally, the event will provide possibility for interested participants/visitors to involve in starting up a business in this specific sector.
