Value chain operators in the cross-border regions often feel pressured to create social media accounts to keep up with the competition, or to target a different segment of consumers. Social media is a great way to expand marketing reach and to connect with customers.
The aim of the activity Support marketing and the promotion on social networks of regional value chain products from Drina-Tara, Drina-Sava and Krsh cross-border regions is to improve the business knowledge and provide economic analytic tools for small business operators in order to increase the competitiveness and provide better position on the market in relation to the value chain development in products and services being offered in the cross-border regions. Each participant has been introduced to the importance of market analysis, target group definition, storytelling, and content writing in inbound marketing on social media, through 2 workshops “Basics of Digital Marketing” and 1-on-1 consulting sessions.
Social media campaign has been created for 27 participant from Serbia, Montenegro and B&H the Facebook ad manager. The goal of the most campaigns was to generate more messages to the page owner, while some participants had the goal to attract more visitors to their page or website. Participants were advised to track sales initiated by the campaign. Upon completion of all campaigns, participants will be contacted to fill the questionnaire about campaign result, including number of sales.
The activity is supported within the project: “Diversification of economic activities in rural areas of Southeast Europe: value chain investment support and capacity building” implemented by SWG RRD in partnership with GIZ.
