Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development (SWG) in South Eastern Europe in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) within the project “Diversification of economic activities in rural areas of Southeast Europe through value chain development” are opening the Public Call for support to people to people activities.
P2P event/action is a tool for strengthening the networking, cooperation, promotion of the cross-border regions and their cultural, traditional, natural heritage. The event/action is enabling the economic potential, both in terms of products and services, as well as for further development of the selected value chains:
– Traditional products in cross-border regions Drina-Sava, Drina-Tara and Krsh;
– Rural tourism in cross-border regions Drina-Sava, Drina-Tara and Krsh;
– Mountain tourism in cross-border regions Prokletije-Bjeshket e Namuna, Prespa and Sharra;
– Beekeeping in the cross-border region “Pcinja-Krajishte”.
Manifestation/activity needs to be implemented latest by 30.11.2020. Any support requested under this Call must not exceed 2,000 EUR excluding non-eligible costs, stated in the manual for P2P. The overall budget of the event and other contributions are not limited.
Within the project “Diversification of economic activities in rural areas of Southeast Europe through value chain development” activities can be implemented in the 7 cross-border regions. The following countries/territories and municipalities are eligible for implementation of the People-to-people events:
1. Cross-Border region of “Drina-Tara”:
Serbia: Ljubovija, Bajina Bašta, Prijepolje, Priboj, Čajetina and Užice;
Montenegro: Bijelo Polje and Pljevlja;
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Višegrad, Rudo, Goražde, Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milići;
2. Cross-Border region of “Drina-Sava”:
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Bijeljina, Ugljevik, Lopare, Brčko and Donji Žabari;
Serbia: Sremska Mitrovica, Šid, Bogatić, Loznica and Šabac;
3. Cross-Border region of “Sharra”:
Republic of North Macedonia: Jegunovce and Tearce;
Kosovo*: Dragash, Prizren and Shtrpce;
4. Cross-Border region of “Prespa” (countries and municipalties):
Republic of North Macedonia: Ohrid and Resen;
Albania: Pogradec, Pustec, Maliq, Korca, Devoll and Kolonje;
5. Cross-border region of Prokletije – Bjeshket e Nemuna
Kosovo*: Peja, Decan, Junik;
Albania: Shkodra, Malesi e Madhe, Tropoje;
Montenegro: Plav, Andrijevica, Berane, Rozaje;
6. Cross-border region of Krsh:
Montenegro: Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat and Niksic
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Ljubuski, Citluk, Stolac, Capljina, Ravno, Neum, Berkovici, Bileca, Gacko, Ljubinje, Nevesinje and Trebinje.
7. Cross-border region of Pcinja-Krajishte:
Serbia: Crna Trava, Bosilegrad, Surdulica, Bujanovac and Trgovishte;
Republic of North Macedonia: Staro Nagoricane, Rankovce and Kriva Palanka;
According to GIZ procedures, SWG and GIZ will not support activities in EU member countries (Croatia and Bulgaria).
SWG and GIZ invites all interested stakeholders from the public, private and civil sector to apply for events/actions that contributes to the above listed SWG objectives. An applicant may not submit more than one application for support to people to people activities under this Public Call. In the e-mail subject line, please indicate for which cross-border region you are submitting the application (ex. Subject: P2P Pcinja-Krajishte).
The application must be submitted in English language, after which SWG Secretariat in cooperation with Evaluation Commission will decide for selection of the events for financing, according to the eligibility and ranking criteria. Upon approval, the final application and budget form in English language should be submitted.
This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence
