The Multi-Beneficiary Workshop on: “Strengthening the Agricultural and Rural Development Advisory Services” was held on February 5th, 2015 in Skopje, Macedonia.
The target audience were representatives from Ministries of agriculture and advisory services from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo* and Turkey.
The workshop was focused on presentation of different advisory system models, financing models and discussions on how each participating institution could restructure its national advisory system in line with the EU requirements.
Also, the workshop was opportunity or establishment cooperation and networking among representatives from participating institution from SEE countries.
Presentations related to organizational structures, financing models of advisory services from EU member states, role of the advisory services in promotion of rural development policy and assistance to beneficiaries, innovation in advisory services were held.
In addition, the new scope of farm advisory system under CAP 2014-2020, as well as IPARD measure on advisory services were elaborated by representatives of DG AGRI.
This workshop was organized by the Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) of the European Commission in cooperation with the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG).
