Successfully organized First Wine & Cheese Festival on the terrace next to the Mehmed Pasha Bridge in Visegrad, B&H


The First Wine & Cheese Festival in Visegrad, brought together around 20 participants from B&H and Serbia.

The festival was opened by the Mayor of Visegrad, Mladen Djurevic, who emphasized that the aim of this event is to promote all the benefits of the Municipality of Visegrad and complements the tourist offer of this local community. Director of the Tourist
Organization of Visegrad Olivera Todorovic said that this is one in a series of events that aims to provide new entertainment contents to many tourists. “Our desire is to offer to tourists and citizens wines and traditional products from B&H and Serbia and with this festival we want to combine what is best and expressed its wishes that this festival will become traditional.

President of the Association of sommeliers from Serbia Dejan Zivkovski organized two workshops on the topic the art of food where he presented how to combine cheese with wine and workshop wine service for representatives of hotels and restaurants.

This aim of the event is networking producers from the region, to transfer the good practice and to encourage them to be legally registered and develop a small business.

The event is supported within of the project “Support to economic diversification of rural areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA)” implemented by SWG and GIZ.
