Like the first LilaLo, this year’s festival was international, with participants from the UK, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Japan. This year’s LilaLo was accompanied by a numerous local and foreign media, including the FIJET – International Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers. The direct economic impact has been achieved during the festival, and the indirect will be reflected through the promotion and development of tourism in the territory of the city of Loznica.
The active participants of the LilaLo Festival are women – first members of the LilaLo team responsible for the promotion, organization and realization of the festival, and then members of the women’s associations participating in interactive workshops of old crafts, promoting and selling their products in ethno bazaars. Women make the majority of program participants as well as employees of Tourism organization of Loznica.
We also hired young artists from Loznica for the design and realization of the festival – “LilaLo team” who created the concept of the festival. In addition to the youth from Loznica, the festival program was also attended by guests from the project “Highlighted tradition”, coming from the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the last day of the festival they had a joint performance with young people from our city. The audience was mostly young, because the program was in line with their interests. It is extremely important to involve children and young people and raise their awareness of the importance of tradition and culture.
