On the 4th and the 7th of July, 2016 there was an official hand over of 60 new containers in the municipalities of Jegunovce and Tearce in Macedonia, which will primary be located in the school’s areas. The containers were part of the donation from SWG to the municipalities of Jegunovce and Tearce. At the hand over events were present the SWG representative, municipality officials Mr. Vojislav Antovski from Jegunovce and Mr. Besim Imeri from Tearce, and Mr. Emin Salihi, owner of the ESM Company that produced the containers and operates with solid waste in that area.
The event is supported within the project “Solid Waste Management in cross-border rural and coastal areas of South Eastern European region”, implemented on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) and NALAS, in support of GIZ Open Regional Fund for South East Europe – Modernization of Municipal Services (ORF MMS).
Coordination and implementation of the pilot measures in the cross-border region “Sharra” was facilitated by the ABD approach with support by the European Union funded project “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration”.
