Developing opportunities through access and exchange of information combined with networking of the rural stakeholders (technical, cultural, institutional and civil society) is a prerequisite for increased regional cooperation among the rural players in a broader sense. The countries of the Western Balkans are encouraged progressively to take involved into networking activities for strengthening regional co-operation thought joint capacity building measures and regional events which will contribute in addressing common challenges and interests. This will contribute towards creation of partnership between the rural stakeholders and the public authorities within and across the WB countries.
The primary aim of the Project was to build capacities and strengthen the networking among the public institutions and stakeholders in order to accelerate the EU accession process of the candidate and potential candidate countries of South Eastern Europe.
This overall objective was defined by the following benchmarks:
- High level policy dialogue Forums and meetings between high ranked Ministry officials and experts have been prepared and realized
- Capacity building trainings and study tour for representatives of public institutions and stakeholders from the Western Balkan countries have been accomplished
- Events promoting regional rural manifestations, networking and exchange of information have been organized
