A Workshop entitled: “Partnership and cooperation in joint projects for integrated economic development” was organized by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in the Southeast Europe as an activity related to the implementation of the second phase of the EU funded project: ”Preparation for implementation of Area Based Development Approach in the Western Balkans”.
The event was tailored for the Stakeholders from “Drina-Sava” and “Drina-Tara” cross-border regions who expressed their interest to participate to the Call for Project proposals launched from April 7th – May 8th 2014 by the SWG Head Office/Secretariat on behalf of the SWG. The Workshop was held in Serbia on April 3rd in Banja Koviljaca for the Stakeholders from “Drina-Sava” and on April 4th in Ljubovija for the Stakeholders from “Drina-Tara” cross border region.
The main objective was to support the integrated cooperation among the value chain actors to encourage innovation, production of competitive products and improvement of services, development of partnership in the Western Balkans.
The participants were introduced with some EU examples of good practice in production and marketing based on: Partnership and cooperation in joint projects for integrated economic development in Europe and territorial approach as well as with traditional forms of organization in rural areas in the Western Balkans and all its ups and downs, including the presentation of an example of good practices but also an example of all the risks that may come out during the project implementation: Development partnership in the Western Balkans – experiences and challenges.
The participants were also given a task to ellaborate within working groups: Way towards high quality products and services. The results were presented and discussed in plenary.
The sessions of questions and answers were related to the forthcoming (now on-going) Call for proposals.
