Agricultural Policy Forum

Through plenary sessions, thematic working groups, and policy discussions, the Forum strengthened regional cooperation, facilitated the exchange of experiences and best practices, and contributed to the preparation of the Prishtina Agenda 2026, a joint regional policy outcome supporting sustainable and resilient agricultural development in South-East Europe (SEE).

Agricultural Policy Forum 2025 titled “Navigating EU Integration and the Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture: Ensuring the Future of Our Farmers and Food in South East Europe,” has brought together 100+ participants from 17 countries across Europe. Policymakers, researchers, academics, civil society, and private sector actors are joining forces to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing agriculture today.

The main objective of the Agricultural Policy Forum 2024 is to address policy challenges in agriculture and rural development in SEE taking into consideration global, European, and regional dimensions related to: Food Sovereignty and Security, Climate Change Impact on Agriculture and Demographic Renewal of rural areas.

The Agricultural Policy Forum 2022 is successfully completed! This year, the event gathered more than 140 representatives of relevant institutions from 12 countries of the Western Balkans and beyond.

The Forum summarized the outcomes and recommendations on four working groups connected to rural tourism development, wine production, LEADER and AKIS. The governments of the Western Balkan countries/territories endorsed the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
