The main goal of organizing this workshop was to put together different stakeholders from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other EU and non-EU EUSAIR countries with the aim to support the EU integration process through sustainable agriculture and green rural development with a particular focus on the adoption of an integrated approach based on the EU Green Deal and the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies.

Dissemination of Evidence-based policy making event organized by SWG and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania.

The second dissemination of evidence-based policy recommendations meeting planned to be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina is realized in Sarajevo in Foreign Trade of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina premises, organized by SWG in auspices with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This meeting was one of the planned activities within the regional project SEDRA II implemented by GIZ in partnership with SWG.

The objective of the event is to put together different stakeholders from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other EU and non-EU EUSAIR countries with the aim to support the EU integration process through the sustainable agriculture and green rural development with a particular focus on the promotion of innovative start -ups, job opportunities and youth entrepreneurship in rural areas.

The event gathered around forty relevant participants: experts and representatives of the public, private and civil sector. Results of assessments of agricultural and rural development policies conducted by the SWG Regional Expert Advisory Working Groups were presented and discussed.

During the event comparisons were made with the policies of the countries/territories of the Western Balkans and the EU. Appropriate policy recommendations were provided for enhanced sustainable development of the agricultural sector and the rural areas of the Republic of Srpska.
