Progress on National Reports on the Role of Youth in Rural Development in the...

Regional Expert Advisory Working Group (REAWG) on the Role of Youth in the Rural Development in the Western Balkans is organized on June 7 in Banja Koviljaca, Serbia. The aim of the meeting was to present National Reports and to summarize results from the on-line surveys conducted during February-May which will serve for development of Rural Youth Study.

Fifth Interim Meeting of the REAWG on AKIS

The online meeting was attended by national, regional, international experts, representatives of responsible ministries, advisory services, research and education. The progress in implementation of the national AKIS plans was presented, as well as the status of the selected AKIS actions to be implemented

Focus group discussions conducted with rural women from the Western Balkans

Focus group discussions conducted as part of the Study on the role of women in the rural areas in the Western Balkans. They aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of relevant dynamics and current issues rural women face.

Kick-off Meeting of REAWG on the Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture, May 15-17, 2023

The focus of the work of the REAWG on Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture (CCAA) for 2023 is to develop the analysis of the current situation on the climate change adaptation in agriculture in WB countries/territories. The work will be organized through several working groups (socio-economic, livestock, crops, water, soil) with the support from the line ministries and within the coordination of the SWG.

Interim Meeting of the REAWG on Sustainable Forest Management

The aim of the meeting was to discuss on how to strengthen the implementation of the EU Green Agenda for the Western Balkans and the capacities for cooperation in the implementation of a sustainable, multifunctional, ecosystem, based of approach and Close to Nature Forest Management with special focus on climate change challenges in the Western Balkan region.

The second International Workshop on sustainable agriculture and green rural development, Banja Luka, B&H

The main goal of organizing this workshop was to put together different stakeholders from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other EU and non-EU EUSAIR countries with the aim to support the EU integration process through sustainable agriculture and green rural development with a particular focus on the adoption of an integrated approach based on the EU Green Deal and the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies.
