Ongoing Projects Activities

Participants discuss and expressed the need for technical support of the SWG and donors to achieve the goals of the respective countries/territories for the market development of organic agriculture with a focus on the EU Regulation implementation, mostly on the group certification and the control bodies segment of the legislative rule.

Dissemination of Evidence-based policy making event organized by SWG and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania.

The aim of the activity is to shed light on women's engagement in agriculture and their contribution to rural development in the Western Balkan region, as well as opportunities to use of their potential in the development of circular economy, green, social and environmental entrepreneurship.

The Interim meeting of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group (REAWG) on LEADER gathered the ministry representatives working on LEADER approach and National Rural Networks from the Western Balkans to elaborate the new developments taken with regards to the policy improvements following the recommendations in the Road Maps on LEADER and measures and specific steps needed to be taken to relaunch LEADER process.

Main topics presented and discussed during the Fourth Meeting of Expert Advisory Working Group on AKIS: Achieving functional and integrated AKIS systems in the Western Balkans, status and the way forward; Progress in adoption of the national AKIS plans and selected AKIS actions to be implemented within the Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – Western Balkans 2023/24; Developing detailed Workplan for 2023

During the meeting were discussed the steps and activities to further promote Western Balkans soil partnership, to collect the data for the soil map of the Western Balkans as well as to develop proper map of contaminated sites.
