Ongoing Projects Activities

The meeting aims to discuss and present the regional assessment „State of the art of soil management in SEE region”, and the capacity of the Western Balkans for the implementation of the new Soil Strategy for 2030 as well as developing operational plans and actions of REAWG on the Soil. The specific activities regarding the establishment of the Regional soil partnership its role and functions were discussed.

The aim of the First meeting of REAWG Organic is to discuss the findings and the outputs of the Regional synthesis report „State of art of the Organic Agriculture in SEE region” (SWG members), and what is the main task and priorities in the area of organic agriculture for the Western Balkan countries/ territories which can be technically supported by the APD Project.

Meeting gathered national, regional and international experts and representatives from relevant authorities from the Western Balkans, Turkey and EU to discuss and agree upon a methodology for assessing latest agricultural policy developments in the pre-accession countries and their approximation to the CAP.

The objective of the visit was to familiarize the REAWG on AKIS with the German (Bavaria, Saxony) AKIS model, understand its elements, their capacities, links and interactions, with the purpose to transfer knowledge applicable to the Western Balkans context.

One of the tasks of the REAWG on soil management is to review the possibilities for establishment of the regional soil partnership to serve as a platform for discussion, exchange of know how and other activities related to the Action plan for realization of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.

The aim of the Kick -off Meeting of the REAWG Organic is to agree how to start work, what impact will have the work of this group in the scope of the EU Green Deal. One of the tasks of the REAWG Organic is to maintain this platform for discussion, to exchange experience and to learn from each other and to facilitate discussions on regional level.
