Organic Agriculture

The agenda for the first day included a series of presentations and discussions, while the second day featured a field visit to an organic company in Dragas.

The BIOFACH Congress offered a comprehensive series of sessions dedicated to the practical implementation of the EU Organic Regulation in candidate and third countries. Key discussions included effectively managing residue cases and navigating official investigations, as well as a presentation of the latest statistics and trends in organic farming.

The REAWG on Organic Agriculture work plan for 2025 will be strategically aligned with the priorities outlined in the National Action Plans of SEE countries/territories.

REAWG on Organic Agriculture during Meeting focused on the Strategic Guiding Document that will be prepared for each country/territory in Southeast Europe. The Document aims to assist the growth of the organic sector from 2024 to 2027.

The importance of collaboration between national authorities in developing the organic market while closely aligning with the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, the process of European integration, and the EU was emphasized during the meeting.

BIOFACH is the world's leading Trade Fair for Organic Food and is organized in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from February 13-16, 2024. In the frame of BIOFACH Fair of Organic Food, representatives from the SWG RRD met German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture in order to exchange on the cooperation and once again reiterate the continued commitment to the joint projects and successful collaboration in the framework of the Agricultural Policy Dialogue Germany – SEE.
