Strengthening capacities for supporting rural development in Southeast Europe (SEDRA 3)

Accent will be given to the development of the capacities of individual people, organizations and businesses as well as cooperation systems, whereas the development of capacities for setting up structures and processes to acquire EU IPARD II funding, and the capacities of local actors and project promoters to get access to public and private co-financing in general. Cooperation and access to finance will be dominant capacity development themes.

The Project “Facilitation of exchange through advice on harmonized wine regulations in all Western Balkan Countries” contributes and support the representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture of the Western Balkan Countries in their efforts to align national wine regulations to each other and to EU standards and to exchange with each other in this area.

The overall objective of the project is to collect information on agricultural policy developments in Western Balkan (WB) countries and to conduct comparative cross-country analysis of the agricultural policies and their state of harmonization with the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The primary aim of the Project was improvement of the conceptual and organizational framework conditions concerning integrated solid waste management (ISWM) in cross-border rural and coastal areas in SEE. The project is implemented in partnership among the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in SEE, Network of Associations of Local Authorities in SEE (NALAS) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ).
