SWG Ministerial Meetings

SWG actively participated in the Innovation Market at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), showcasing initiatives and projects aimed at advancing sustainable and innovative agricultural practices in the region. In parallel, SWG organized a Ministerial Meeting within the Berlin Process, bringing together agriculture ministers from South-East Europe to discuss regional cooperation, policy alignment, and strategies to enhance food security and innovation in agriculture.

The meeting brought together Ministers and Heads of Delegations from across the SEE region to engage in high-level discussions on the future of agriculture and rural development. Participants also conduct a comprehensive review of both ongoing and future regional cooperation efforts in this sector.

As part of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), the Southeast Europe Ministers' Meeting focus on advancing sustainable and future-proof agri-food systems. This important event aligns with the goals of the Berlin Process and supports the EU accession journey for participating countries.

The First Ministerial Meeting on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans is being held on October 8th in the scope of the 10th Anniversary Berlin Process Summit in Hamburg Germany.

A key focus of the Ministerial Meeting was ensuring that agriculture and rural development are integral components of the Berlin Process, enhancing cooperation and reinforcing these sectors as vital to the EU integration efforts of the Western Balkans.

SWG RRD together with its member institutions, Ministries of agriculture from SEE participated at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) entitled Food Systems for Our Future: Joining Forces for a Zero Hunger World! The GFFA is the pioneering international conference of the agri-food sector. It provide key impetus for the agri-food systems of the future.
