SWG Ministerial Meetings

The meeting address this year's GFFA theme "Transforming Food Systems: A Global Response to Multiple Crises" and discuss joint actions to implement the objectives agreed in the GFFA Final Communiqué for the Western Balkan countries. The discussion was also based on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, which promotes a modern, climate-neutral and resource-efficient economy.

The Ministers of Agriculture from South Eastern Europe (SEE) and the Heads of Delegations gather in Budva to discuss the future developments for agriculture and rural development sectors in SEE region and to review the process of the regional cooperation in the given field.

Ministerial Videoconference: Potential impacts of ongoing geopolitical developments on the agricultural sector in the Western Balkans and possible joint actions.

Albanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is taking over the Presidency of the SWG Assembly for the year ahead and strives towards regional cooperation and integration in the field of agriculture and rural development of the entire Western Balkan region.

The 14th Annual Working Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture from South Eastern Europe was organized under the joint auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South Eastern Europe as a videoconference on 17th November 2020.

The Third Ministerial Video conference is attended by Ministers and high-level representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture of the Western Balkans and some of its neighbouring countries, as well as the European Commission (DG AGRI and DG NEAR), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).
