SWG Ministerial Meetings

Ministers of Agriculture from SEE and Delegation Heads gathered to the established practice of convening a regional platform for the annual Ministerial Meeting. Delegations representing various countries/territories engaged in open discussions about shared interests, assessed the national policy objectives and priorities, and found common ground on various meeting agenda items.

The meeting address this year's GFFA theme "Transforming Food Systems: A Global Response to Multiple Crises" and discuss joint actions to implement the objectives agreed in the GFFA Final Communiqué for the Western Balkan countries. The discussion was also based on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, which promotes a modern, climate-neutral and resource-efficient economy.

The Ministers of Agriculture from South Eastern Europe (SEE) and the Heads of Delegations gather in Budva to discuss the future developments for agriculture and rural development sectors in SEE region and to review the process of the regional cooperation in the given field.

Ministerial Meeting was hosted by the German Federal Agricultural Minister Cem Özdemir in the framework of the so called Berlin Process for the West Balkan, and the ongoing Agricultural Policy dialogue, with a focus on the Green Agenda for the region.

Albanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is taking over the Presidency of the SWG Assembly for the year ahead and strives towards regional cooperation and integration in the field of agriculture and rural development of the entire Western Balkan region.
