SWG Ministerial Meetings

The Ninth Annual Working Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture from South Eastern Europe was held in the period of 12 – 13 November, 2015 in Tirana, Republic of Albania. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the future of regional cooperation and reforms in the sector of agriculture and rural development in the process of EU approximation of the SEE region.

The 8th Annual Working gathered the Ministers/Head of Delegations responsible for agriculture and rural development in South Eastern Europe. The meeting was organized under the joint auspices of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South Eastern Europe and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Republic of Bulgaria in the period from 11th to 14th of November 2014 in Sofia.

The 7th Annual Working Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture from South Eastern Europe was organized on behalf of the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South Eastern Europe in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia in the period from 14th to 16th of November 2013 in Kopaonik.

An Ad Hoc Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture from SEE took part in Jahorina and Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 4th to the 5th of April. In the light of the emerging problem in the SEE region related to the appearance of the Aflatoxins in the fodders and consequently in the dairy products for human consumption, the meeting was initiated and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of the Kosovo* and the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group in South-East Europe (SWG) jointly hosted the 6th annual working meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture from South-East Europe in Pristina on November 16th

"Defining the future direction of reforms in agriculture and rural development in Southeast Europe, continuation of the reform process for EU accession, intensification of regional cooperation started up in the field of agriculture and rural development and full support to the Standing Working Group for Regional Rural Development - SWG, as a regional initiative in the implementation of strategic and operational plans related to regional cooperation for the next 5 years" - These are, among others, the main conclusions brought by the participants of the fifth annual working meeting of Ministers of agriculture from Southeast Europe, held in the winery " Stobi" in Gradsko, Macedonia
