Improved mountain tourism capacities of the members of Tourist Cluster Andrijevica

Tourist Cluster Andijevica is established in 2015 with the mission to support development of tourism in the Municipality and in Montenegro. It aims to develop rural and mountain tourism, to support rural development, environmental protection, poverty reduction, development of tourist infrastructure, support to activities that affect the development of wood processing, project cycle management, energy efficiency, education, information technology.

Ethno Village Štavna-is located near in the vicinity of beech forest with a breathtaking view of Mountain Komovi, which are only 2km away. There are numerous hiking and biking trails, as well as open pastures. This facility each year attracts a number of outdoor recreation enthusiasts, mountain climbers, scouts, and mountain bikers. Project investment include  procurement of snowshoes as well as the purchase of bicycles (with helmets) which would be used for rent or lend to guests.

Hotel Komovi is located in the town of Andrijevica in Montenegro. Hotel Komovi is settled beneath the mountains Komovi, Bjelasica and Prokletije. It is a good starting point for hiking and biking in northern Montenegro. Spacious rooms are now renovating in the phases and this hotel is the most important accommodation facility in this area. Within project support restaurant is modernized with the procurement of chairs and seaters as well as some of the kitchen equipment. As ongoing renovation of this hotel, six rooms in the hotel are now equipped with pull-out armchair. As part of an environmental campaign, soap dispensers are installed in each of the room in the hotel.

Project activities will further contribute to the development and strengthen of the mountain tourism value chain in the cross-border region “Prokletije -Bjeshket e Namuna“.
