The focus of discussion of the 12th Interim meeting of the REAWG on Wine held in a period 14-17 November, 2023 was on economic challenges in grape and wine production in the 2023 vintage and local grapevine varieties, latest EU/OIV regulations and initiatives to join the SWG RRD as an observer in the OIV etc. The discussion related to fostering regional cooperation for establishing harmonized regulatory framework aligned with EU legislation and future actions per country/territory were also elaborated during the meeting.
The REAWG members had the opportunity to attend the wine fair “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” in Belgrade offering them a new wine experience and the opportunity to discover the exciting world of authentic and autochthonous wines of the Western Balkans, promoting the entire region as original and unique travel, cultural and geographical destination, offering magnificent natural resources and diverse historical sights.
