Culinary workshop focused on skill development and creativity, enriching experience of participants from North Macedonia

In the period 22-24 April, 2024, in Hotel Lakeview, Oteshevo, Resen, culinary training “Upgrading of food and beverage presentation in rural tourism facilities” has been organized.

During the intensive two-day workshop, twenty attendees delved into various topics including value addition, crafting compelling narratives, food and beverage pairing, food preparation safety protocols, and meal calculations.

Through hands-on engagement, participants honed their presentation skills, enhanced their offerings, gained a deeper understanding of safety protocols in food preparation, and grasped the significance of storytelling in rural tourism. Furthermore, by actively participating in cooking classes alongside professional chefs and oenologists, participants elevated their expertise in food preparation and beverage pairing techniques.

The training is supported within the Project: Promotion of Economic Diversification in Rural Areas of South-Eastern Europe (SEDRA II) in SEE – Value chain capacity building on agriculture and rural tourism to promote employment opportunities supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by GIZ in partnership with SWG RRD.
