On May 19, the panel discussion “German–Southeast European Agribusiness Partnerships: Exploring Innovation, Investment and Market Opportunities” was held as a side event of the Novi Sad Fair.
Organized within the framework of the Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD) Germany – South East Europe, the event brought together stakeholders from the region and Germany to exchange views on innovation, investment potential, and market access in the agri-food sector.
The panel brings together German and regional agribusiness companies and investors, policymakers and institutional representatives, development partners, as well as trade promotion organisations and chambers of commerce to advance German–Southeast European cooperation in the agri-food sector by:
- Reaffirming the political commitment, as agreed at GFFA 2026 in Berlin, by the German Government and regional ministries to further expand economic cooperation
- Highlighting German excellence in agriculture as a driver for partnership and trade
- Discussing the investment potential in the region, including opportunities, enabling factors, and existing challenges
- Showcasing successful examples of agribusiness cooperation
- Exploring financing mechanisms, EU integration processes, and funding instruments
