The 60th SWG Assembly Session is being held under the hospitality of German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture -BMEL in Potsdam, Germany in a period 4-5 September, 2024.
The Assembly focuses on evaluating the progress made between April 2024 and September 2024, discussing the outcomes of the Agricultural Policy Forum 2024, and planning the upcoming SWG Annual Meeting of Ministers from SEE for 2024. Additionally, internal matters will be addressed.
In conjunction with the 60th Assembly, the Agriculture Sherpa meeting of the Berlin Process is also being held. Here, SWG Delegates and Berlin Process Agriculture Sherpas are discussing the draft Declaration on Food and Agriculture. This declaration is set to be adopted by the Ministers and Heads of Delegations responsible for Agriculture and Rural Development from the Western Balkans during the 18th Annual Working Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture on September 24th, 2024, in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The declaration will subsequently be presented at the Berlin Process Summit in October 2024. Its goal is to fortify the Western Balkans 6 (WB6) community and further the EU accession process in the fields of food, agriculture, and forestry.
