Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group in SEE, in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) – SEDRA II Project are working on the implementation of the Action plan of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. Market standards for fresh fruit and vegetable standards is one of the topics covered within the Action plan, the First Interim Meeting of the Regional Expert Advisory Working Group on Market Standards Fresh Fruits and Vegetables was organized in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of the First Interim Meeting of the REAWG on Market Standards Fresh Fruits and Vegetables was to to present the assessments “State od art of the Market Standards of fresh fruits and vegetables in Western Balkan countries/territories, done as a task from the Kick off Meeting organized in May 2022. Based on national reports has been created and presented a regional synthesis report and recommendation for next the REAWG activities. After expressing the interests and priorities from the respective institutions in Western Balkan countries, the SWG will consider the proposals and needs, and based on that to outline the national and a regional priorities and to draft the REAWG work plan proposal for year 2023.
