The First Winter Marathon was held in Niksic, Montenegro in a period from 20-21 February. More than 50 participants from 5 countries had the opportunity to enjoy this great event during both days while on the second day the race included the youngest participants. The event was organized by Association Nature Lover in partnership with the Municipality of Niksic and Tourism Organization of Niksic.
The aim of this event is to promote the potentials and the beauty of Mountains Krnovo and Lukavica, to develop sustainable tourism for the local community creating new tourist product in the winter season.
The activity is part of the Project: “Diversification of economic activities in rural areas of Southeast Europe through value chain development” implemented by SWG RRD in partnership with GIZ.
