The Sixth Meeting of Regional Expert Advisory Working Group (REAWG) on Soil Partnership was held in the scope of the APF 2023. Conclusions from the Soil Partnership Meeting:

The APF 2023 underscores the significance of coordinated efforts, knowledge exchange, and policy alignment in dealing with soil health concerns in the SEE. It recommends a specific action on aligning with the EU’s Soil Strategy 2030 and enhancing the capacity of stakeholders to implement sustainable soil management practices. Regular monitoring is essential for addressing soil health issues such as contamination, erosion, soil degradation, the loss of organic carbon, and unsustainable land use.

The APF 2023 encourages further institutional development of the Western Balkan Soil Partnership as a platform for exchanging knowledge and identifying best practices for safeguarding soil against pollution and degradation, ultimately leading to sustainable soil management.
