Between 19–23 May 2025, six workshops on climate change adaptation in agriculture were conducted in Podgorica, Tirana, Pristina, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, and Belgrade. These events were hosted by the respective Ministries of Agriculture in each country/territory as part of the regional initiative “Green Agenda Western Balkans – Supporting the Western Balkan Countries in Adapting to Climate Change.”

In total, 164 participants attended the workshops, including representatives from government institutions, academia, the business community, and development projects. The workshops provided a collaborative platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic planning aimed at strengthening climate resilience in the agricultural sector. The workshops served as vital platforms for stakeholder engagement and strategic dialogue, offering valuable insights and facilitating the identification of actionable priorities to be incorporated into future planning processes.

The activity is organized with the support of GIZ in cooperation with the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in SEE on behalf of the German Government, within the framework of the Regional Climate Partnership between Germany and the Western Balkans.
